Default Stock muffler in/out diameter?

Does anyone know what the stock pipe size is for a 2008+? I measured it in the dark, so I'm not sure that I'm correct about what I came up with. It looked to me as though it was 2.5" from the cat to the muffler and then 3" from the tailpipe end of the muffler back. Thanks.

I visited my nearest auto parts store after work today and the latest year they had in the database was 2009. The employee I talked to said the piping was 2.5" in and out of the muffler. Unfortunately, that leaves me worried that I won't purchase the right part.

I installed a 3" Borla on my 08 (which is 2.75), the muffler shop just fabbed up a pipe with a little stretching to make the transition.

X2 its not a big deal if the new pipe is a fraction bigger or smaller, the shop will be able to transition it

Hah, I know they can work out a transition into any size (I had something like that done on my Ford Ranger). I was just trying find exacts. In any case, thanks everyone.
