cat question
Lets say u hollow out your cats for sound or performance. You truck would then throw a code because your catalytic converters are not working as they should
One way to avoid the check engine light is to trick the O2 sensors at the cats. You can do so by installing an O2 fouler, which is basically a spacer so that the O2 sensors in your cats "think" that the exhaust gases are cleaner than reality. Check engine light should go away

correction:
federal emmissions will cover the warranty, i believe up to 90k on our trucks, drivetrain is INTERNAL ENGINE (NO ELECTRICAL) INTERNAL TRANS, DRIVESHAFT, REAR END.
I would say dont worry about it **** happens some people may say you got your truck built on a monday, I say thank god for that warranty, make sure they put brand new cats on, and you get ALL your paperwork and NEW SENSORS. I used to be a writer for dodge......just giving you some advise....
