New Struts, Shocks, Blocks, and Leveling Kit
Fat chick's can't jump :-P
very nice OP. once you have bigger tires you'll be all set.
If I see that slammed Dakota again I'll take a pic FrenicX, it has like 2" till its on the ground, but I believe the kid has it bagged.
I don't know guys, the angles look way different to me. The angle of the tie-rod from horizontal is about the same, but the original is angled down, while the modified is angled up. As the suspension travels, the tie-rod is going to angle way more up that it would have originally, leading to the difficulties everyone talks about. Everyone says that 2" inches is OK, you went 2 1/2. 1/2" isn't much, until you realize it is 25% more!
Just thinkin'

Sorry... $68.00... but I don't know what shipping is, but beats the 115 a peice that Advance Auto wants for the exact same Strut.....
Its my secret... dont tell nobodies Shhhh!
Sensatrac front struts
I got my rear shocks for 65 total since I bought my exhaust at advance in december and got one of those buy 100 worth of stuff get a 50 dollar gift card thing... so after all said and done i should spend just over $225 for shocks AND struts for the truck..
Edit... I just looked it said shipping is like 3.00 a strut.. Woot!

Anyway, having seen the angle myself before and after (the angles of the pictures are different - consider that) the outer tie rod is a bit further down (and angled more) than it was originally but not as bad as I had I thought it would. With the wheel completely off the ground, I still have plenty of play in the movement of the rod. And for the driving I do (all pavement) it won't be an issue.
Ride quality:
I've only barely driven it and the roads are very smooth where I live but the difference is still very noticeable. The ride is definitely firm but to my liking. The truck still bounces over a big bump but like it should. It only oscillates once instead of 4+ times. The rear feels fine too but it's tough for me to make comparisons since this is really the only vehicle I drive. Mostly what I can say is that it's a helluva lot better than stock. I am 110% satisfied.
One thing that I find weird though is that my back tires squeal more when making sharp slow turns but I think after my alignment it'll be back to the way it was.

Thanks! I used plastidip. It's a spray on rubber/plastic-like coating. You can find it in the spray-paint section of lowes. No scuffing or sanding needed, just clean & spray. Then you can just peel it off whenever you want.
