I'd hate to bring up an old thread but at least its from this year. I was researching new control arms and they have two types of moog control arms on rockauto.com The r-series which are around 50 dollars and then the problem solver which is about 100 dollars. I'm guessing the difference in those are greaseable and non greaseable?
thanks

Yes, the whole Moog removing zerk fittings was kinda false. They are making 2 different styles, one with, one without. Why they would do this is beyond me. I cannot understand why a zerk would change the price that much.

What ever you do, always buy the problem solver ones.

Federal-Mogul has introduced a mid-range line of MOOG replacement control arms for customers seeking a more economical repair solution. The new R-Series control arms combine quality design and construction with pricing that will appeal to many budget-minded vehicle owners, according to Federal-Mogul.

Do not waste your time with the R-SERIES

They say that the R-series is for the cost-conscious consumer, but it will cost you more in the long run.

If you are replacing the part just to sell the truck, I guess it does not matter.

yea just grab a grease gun from your parts store, throw a tube in, the gun clips on to the zerk fitting and then you just have to pump.

WAIT WAIT WAIT... its not as simple as just pumping it full of grease. There is some skill involved. You only want to put enough grease in to start to bulge the rubber boot. If you put to much in you will tear the boot, or pop it out of the holding seam.

Gentleman, the problem solver components from Moog are the way to go, for longevity, performance, safety, etc. If you are worried about suspension costs, you need to sell your truck. Lol.

Personally, I have the Moog upper control arms, lower ball joints, and outer tie rod ends. These are all problem solver components and have been absolutely phenominal. My suggestion is, DO NOT SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS.
