08 with 134,500miles????
I found a 08 4.7 Laramie 4x4 QC with 134,500 miles for (what I think) a very good price. Would the miles scare you away?
In excellent condition, what would you be willing to pay? It is loaded, Nav, leather, sunroof, everything.

well I got my 07 dakota with 93,000 for $9850.00
mine was an SLT with need for the front end work (ball joints, tie-rods, brakes) and 800 in tires... and that was a pretty good deal.
if all of the front end components have been replaced with parts with zerks on them. I wouldn't pay more than 13,000 for it (if the tires and brakes are good)

$13k is the asking price. I have not driven it, but I have stopped an looked. Paint is almost perfect (a few stone chips, but none to bare metal), no rust anywhere (including underneath), leather looks like it only has 20k, not 134k, tires have about 3/4 tread
That seams like a decent price, I would be worried about that timing chain. Even though I have not heard of one person on the forum that has changed theirs yet.
It really depends on what you are planing on doing with the truck.
Not trying to be a downer, but the Dakota has very little after market, gas millage not that great.
If I was gonna buy the truck I would keep looking.
I think the 05,06,07 V8 Dakotas can take a 08+ HO V8 due to the drive by wire.
I have never tried, but that is my thoughts from just test driving one.

I would not pay that much for any vehicle with that kind of mileage. Mine was only $3k more than that when I bought it with 48000 miles.

Personally I like the looks of the 08+ better than the 05-07. I have not driven a 08+ Dak yet, just looking around. I also know that there is not much of an aftermarket for them. I have had enough modded out vehicles in the past. I wish I had my Ram back, but a full size will not fit in my garage, plus I don't tow or haul much so I do not need the full size.
I must need to move south, because everything with low mileage is more the $16k here in PA. For example I looked around quickly and found the following:
08 4.7 Laramie 4x4 qc, 21,000 miles = $22k
08 4.7 Sport 4x4 qc, 21,000 miles = $22k
08 4.7 Sport 4x4 qc, 30,000 miles = $21k
08 3.7 SLT 4x4 qc, 40,000 miles =$19k
07 4.7 Laramie 4x4 qc, 43kmiles=$20k
06 4.7 SLT 4x4 qc, 44kmiles=$19k
04 4.7 SLT 4x4 qc, 73kmiles=$13k

Yikes, I thought I drove a lot. My 08 has 62K now and I bought it two years ago for $15,000 in Houston.
You should keep looking, your going to have a difficult time selling it again with 200,000 miles. Perhaps a plane ticket and visit a southern dealership, would be a fun drive back.
BTW I too test drove the earlier models and the 08+ puts the smack down on the other models. You may have a slight delay of power off the line but it comes on really strong after that. Superchips is the key.
