Default 100hp cost= 0$

lol ok....well maybe not 100hp prob like, 1hp....lol.
Anyone ever notice the little flap of plastic that comes out infront of the filter on our trucks? I pulled apart my whole 1 side of my truck because when I did my valve cover gasket I had so much crunchy wire loom, it all fell apart (most of it). So I am re-looming front to back. Anyways, when I was doing the passenger side i noticed this little opening

I just took the cover off mine, with my k&n, this opening is just beside the filter, so who knows, maybe another source of colder air for the intake.

I cut out a bigger hole in there while my intake was still in the front. Now It's just a useless hole... although it probably helps in some microscopic way with under hood temperatures:

I used mine for a hole to squeeze a "ram air" intake through ..... great spot to bring air from the bumper to the intake.

Yes sir. Originally i had planned to route the intake higher up but it doesn't get any dirtier where is at, than what it used to under the hood, I might just add some sort of splash guard that can be attached to the cross-member...
