Default Sunroof broken, help!

Hey guys. My sunroof was making some "clicking sounds" the last week or so. A few times I tried to close it, it would close, "catch on something" and reopen.

This morning the sunroof got about halfway closed, something 'popped' and is now stuck half open/closed.

It's getting power and I can hear it trying to close/open, it even "surges" 1cm or 2 when I hit the button. It's definitely stuck, off the rail, something jammed.

Any troubleshooting ideas? Is there a way to manually close this thing at the very least?

I do not have a sunroof, sorry. Nor have I ever owned a vehicle with one.

Don’t know about your particular vehicle, but usually there is like an allen key hole on the roof behind the sunroof, pry the little plastic cap off, and use an allen key or a screwdriver to close it.

No idea man, only issue I have ever dealt with on a sunroof was with the wife's Ion and that was the drains getting clogged with debris, but I fixed that with compressed air, water and a weekly car wash that she never would do until after meeting me

Darn. I guess that's a negative about having a feature that very few people do.

I'll try the Allen me or screwdriver thing if there's a spot. I think something broke loose or off the tracks. I'll post back with the answer so others after me have some help.

Thanks.

Can you assist it when you push the button or no?

Nah, it really feels "caught". You can hear and watch it try to go, but it's binding in something. I've got to wait to out down the toddler and then I'll go take a closer look.
