Default signal light

My signal light sometimes sticks in the on position. Sometimes when I switch between high and low beams. Other times when I use my left or right signal. Is this a common thing, it is very frustrating some times.

Or maybe its just the operator.

I've noticed that with my dakota. seems like you just bump it the wrong way and it starts blinking left. it must be a computerized signal system or something, where the slight bump of the switch is enough input for the computer to start blinking the turn lights.

Sadly, it is the multi-function switch. Dodge can't buy or make one to save their lives. My neon ate 4 of them in 160,000 kms. Luckily they are easy to replace, a touch pricey however.

07,

If you or anyone else replaces a the multi-function switch on your vehicles save the receipt just in case. Chrysler announced a warranty extension on them for the Ram's and if it is extended to the Dakota's you will be able to send your receipts in and get reimbursed.

My last two (for my 03 neon) came out of low mileage wrecks. I don't think Chrysler will reimburse for that!
