Default Superchip 3865 or Cold Air Intake

Hey guys I'm looking for something right now that will help out on the mpg. I drive a couple hundred miles a week and 90% of it is on the highway. I go around 70 to75. Would a superchip 3865 help out on the mpg going that fast on regular gas. Or would a cold air intake be better. Right now I can get a superchip 3865 for 290 dollars brand new. I don't know if that is a good deal or not, but I can definitely get a cold air intake for alittle less. The thing is, I get pretty good gas mileage around 60, but it drops like a tank when I hit the 70 mile per hour stretch. Now I know it want help out if you cant keep your foot out of the gas, well I know when to keep my foot out of the gas. I have heard a lot of people say that the superchips dont work good will gaining mpg on regular gas and heard people say going 70 is hard for you to gain mpg. Which do yall think is better?

For me, neither of those helped my mileage at all. Made it worse probably. Really none of the mods I have did anything with my mileage come to think of it. I still get 16-17. Same as the day I bought her. So, for me, cold air intake, superchips, efan, 180 t-stat, power wire, sonnax, synthetic oil, bed stripe, hood scoop, autobot emblem..etc, etc...nothing has improved my mileage. But...it sure has increased the butt dyno and the smiles per gallon!!

Yeah, neither will help you. You're gonna have to slow it down and check your tire pressure to save some fuel.

But I'd get the Superchips for the fun factor, $290 is a good price.

You can extend your range on a tank significantly if you can find an off-expressway highway for the commute that has a 55-60 mph limit with no towns on the route. Not always possible, but on a recent drive to Florida we saw an extra 100 kms (60 miles) on a tank on the day we got off the Interstate.

They claim to get better gas mileage. I may have seen 1mpg total, but you can pretty much erase that with getting either the CAI or the 3865 because of the fun factor it brings.

I've heard the chrome side vents with 3m tape work best for adding horsepower ..... but only if they are purchased from AutoZone or Walmart!

If I was on a $300, I'd do Superchips all the way! The intake didnt do much except for add noise. Still cool though.
