Lift and Tire Questions.
I got a quote of $850 to lift my truck with the PAG 3" lift kit. I ordered the kit, and took a hard look at the directions, and it isn't that bad, but be reayd to run into problems aside from installing the kit, I had some rotted out core supports, so I fabbed up my own. Make sure you have a good drill bit to drill out the bushings. You want something with a HSS rating (High Speed Steel) Titanium or Platinum tipped, not carbide. Also you will need to trim when the tires are on, I trimmed my gap guards and took off my mud guards. The rear wont rub obviously, but the front will a bit, so a good angle grinder is a good idea. I have 285-75-16's on mine. OH, and watch out when cutting core supports as your condenser lays right next to them...one slip and you will cut that condenser. Just get a good jack and jack stands, dont rush and follow the directions. Any questions during the installation you can PM me or email me etc. Goodluck, it took me 12 hours, wouldve took 10 but the rotted out core supports killed my timing. You can also call the tech at PAG, he's very helpful as well.
I called a auto shop this morning and they are supposed to get back to me with the price of install. I hope its not too expensive.
Also I Have another question, I want to upgrade to a gibson split rear rear exhaust that exits straight out the back under the bumper and was wondering that with the lift will the pipes hang way below the bumper?

It should look fine... If you want to see pics of my Dak w/ the lift and my exhaust shoot me an email mgreen217@gmail.com
If you got a good Jack and Jack Stands, and the right tools and can follow directions, you should be able to do the lift yourself. Just make sure you can afford to work on it all day or over the span of 2 or 3 days depending on how many hours you can put in at a time.

I have the 2.5" kit and have 265/70-17, these are 31.6" high. You should be fine. I have a slight rub at full lock on the inner edge of the front splash guard.
