Default Question on New Rims (with pic)

Hey Guys, I finally decided on which rims I want to get for my truck. I am shopping around for the best price on a set of Ultra 18" Goliath Chrome rims. I'm also pretty well set on getting BFG TA/KO's on them. The rim is pictured and listed as having 5 lug bolt pattern and being 9" wide. Are there any other considerations I need to make sure of to know that they will fit? Also, if not the BFG's do any of you have a suggestion for a different tire that is good quality and has a similar rugged treat pattern? Let me know what you think.

Looks like that wheel has a 19mm offset, perfect for your truck. Won't have any rim issues. If you don't know who you're buying from yet, see if customwheelsexpress.com has them, great place to deal with and great prices, lugs, stems, and shipping are all inclusive in their price for 4. Make sure you get hubrings if the bore is bigger than 77.8

Hey FrenicX, Thanks for the input, been doing a little research since I posted, and yeah I discovered I'm going to have to know the offset. Granted like tires, I don't know if you need to have the exact right offset, or if you can play with it a little. Are you saying that our stock rims have a 19mm offset? When I looked at different sites they only listed the offsets as low, RWD, med, high, and I saw one listed as +15...still not sure what that all means. I will for sure check out that website, thanks for the headsup.

If you don't mind, you're gonna have to give me a quick education on what you mean about hub rings and what bore do I have to check and how to know what the bore is. I'm guessing you mean the size of the hole in the middle of the wheel that fits over the hub of the axle and that a ring is used to fill any gaps.

There's a lot of good information, including pictures, on the internet - especially on most of the tire and wheel suppliers. Here's a link to one site.

Our stock wheels are 25.4 on an 8 inch, which is more inboard than the 9 and 19, basically if you look at dakotaff's truck you'll see what the offset will look like. The higher the offset, the more inboard, the lower the offset, the more it sticks out. You can vary... I would say.. +/- 3 to 5 without worrying too much about rub. I have a +13 in 9" and I rubbed a bit at stock height, with a 30" tire. A leveling kit would have been perfect, but I trimmed. So you can see how even a tiny change in offset can make a difference. You don't have to have the correct offset, an even lower offset would look good too. Just know that you either have to level or trim, or both if you go with a bigger tire on top of that. But its never too hard make those adjustments.

For the hub bore, the stock wheels are hub-centric, so its a good idea to keep that. It ensures that when the wheel is mounted, its not just relying on the lugs to center the wheel. Our's is a 77.8 bore, my wheels are a 106mm and the guy at customwheelsexpress sent me the spacers to fill in the gap. They were nylon, cost $10 for all 4.

Thanks for all the input. I'm gonna check back at both websites suggested and see which one has the rim I need and if so what the best price is I can get, with tires! I'll keep you guys posted and let you know when I order them. I'm still in Afghaniland, so I'm hoping to have them ordered and put on before I get home for R&R. When it all comes together I'll make sure to post pics.
