Default 07 Dakota Rear suspension bottoms out

My 07 Dakota tends to bottom out in the rear when hitting bumps, potholes, speedbumps, etc. Anybody else experience this and know what the cause might be?

Is it Loaded or unloaded it does it?
I have never heard of this, Only 2 things it could be, Broken leaf spring, or shock, or maybe a mount

are you lowered? If so, mine bottoms out pretty easy with a 4.5 inch drop.

Not lowered. Everything is stock. Started a few years ago and hasn't gotten much worse but does it when its unloaded. When I load it up, it will bottom out but once I take the load out, it improves a lot for a while. leaf springs look OK. Maybe the shocks. I'll check the mounts - good idea.

How many miles on your truck? Rear shocks are cheap. Might be time to replace them. If something was broken you would have other symptoms besides just bottoming out over bumps. (like a strange noise)

Think you're right. Not much to lose by replacing the shocks. Will give that a trý. Thanks for the help everyone.

I've bottomed out the front but never the rear. I have the 2" rear lowering shackles on mine too. Then again I rarely have anything in the bed.

Mines an 07 too. bottomed out with people in the back seat. Usually my two buddies who combined are about 400 pounds. Ranchos took care of it.
