Brakes on 05 Dakota 4x4 3.7L
I have a 2005 Dakota 4x4 3.7L with ABS. It had a pulsation and the fluid was extremely dirty. Found massive run out on front rotors. Machined rotors and installed new pads. Pulsation is gone. Flushed system with new brake fluid. Pedal feels better but is still spongy/low. Crimped 2 front hoses and tested pedal, still spongy. Went along rear brakes lines and no leaks. Thinking brake booster, master cylinder or ABS module. Anyone run into this problem. As 88,000 miles. Looked like brake system hasn't been taken cared of. Truck owned for 1 one year.
Bled system 3 times. 1st was flush, 2nd vacuum bleed, 3rd manual bleed. Buddy of mine as a scan tool to cycle valves in ABS module. Thinking about doing that.

Give your pads some time to seat. Account for 2-3 days of driving (mixed: highway and city). After that, determine if the truck has the same, if not, better stopping power than before.
Also, what pads did you go with? We also need to consider pad material, brand, quality level, etc.

I put Duralast semi-metallic. Broke-in new pads. Owner is going to be picking it up and seeing what he thinks. I'm going out of town for a week and a half. If its not to what he wants, he'll bring it back. Brake pedal is currently about 2/3 of what it should be.
