PowerTrax No-Slip is a pack you can install yourself without pulling out the ring and pinion, worrying about the preload and backlash.. a good option (wish I had known before...)

Yea a little more than the auburn but you save on labor since there's no specialized stuff needed to install, and you save even more if you DIY, which is highly possible, it's like a brake job but with more parts. might need a small spring compressor of some kind but no biggy, it's nothing like the super precise measurements needed for pulling the carrier.

So is yours AWD? Any issues with it? How does it launch? I imagine pretty hard. Since mines a manual, when I dump the clutch I can spin up to fourth gear. I am looking for a new t-case or donor to swap with...

I can't spin tires, can't break that rear end loose unless the road is wet and I'm going around a corner to fast. I believe it's a 40/60 split between the front and back. It just goes when I punch the gas. I lose some power with the 4WD/AWD. Still love it.

I don't recommend a powertrax, had one and HATED IT. Switched it back out with a stock LSD. You better understand what your getting into with a locker system, because it drives completely different. First of all you have "slack" in your driveshaft at all times, you can feel the clunk when you apply the gas, it's the powertrax locking up. Plus anytime your turn with your foot on the gas the tires chirp and hop around. People think your showing off but your just trying to make a turn. heh

Lockers are for offroading or the dragstrip (or for those that don't mind these little quirks) Otherwise it works fine, just be ready for a less then smooth ride.
