Put the Michelin Ice-X 2s on my family car, they are amazing.

It was a great weekend. Weather was TOO HOT and SUNNY! Lots of burned shoulders and feet - always forget the sunscreen between the straps of the sandals.

The boys (and 4 girls!) are a little too young to be studs and the leader are all too old . . . .

Missed seeing your office because we turned up a Elphin Maberly Road.

I had told the other drivers to drive as fast as they wanted, don't worry about me keeping up, but I had to retract. Above 95kph the trailer would start to sway and I'd have to back off. Need to come up with a solution to that. I think part of the problem is that we run a 20" extension on the ball mount so the canoes clear the tow vehicle. I'll ponder.

Gotta love that stretch from Elphin to Snow Road . . . on a bike at any rate. Maybe not with a swaying trailer loaded with canoes!

Glad to hear the youngsters had a great weekend. just like the summers we used to know,

Default The Turtles!

Road was littered with turtles too! Mostly Painted, some laying eggs in the shoulder. One big Snapper laying her eggs in the shoulder too. Looked like her head was bigger than my fist.

Yes, that would be a great trip on a bike. The trailer swaying was not too bad on that stretch, since the speeds were lower. On the #7 (4-lane portion) and the 417 it was worse. I'd get up the 100k, everything fine, hit a bump or a gust of wind and have to back off to shut down the sway.

We scoped out the lower section of the lake for next year and will probably try there, coming in off the Ardoch Road. Shorter canoe at night to get to campsites.

This is really getting off topic, but I can't resist sharing one more thing that went down on the short ride to work this morning. In brief - over a 2 kilometer stretch, the following three crossed the road in my path: first, a rabbit; next, a young deer; finally a friggin' black bear! The bear headed down a private driveway.
