Default Is this the sway bar link?

This crappy 2005 dakota that I have only has 14k miles and I heart a thunk the other day after I had a load of mulch put into the bed. I looked under the truck and noticed that this bar is separated from the other one. I think its the sway bar link but wanted to confirm. I can replace that link with this part right?

Yes. It was your end link.

Edit, and yes that is the link to the end-link you need. Replace both, not just the broken one.

You can get 2 at Rockauto shipped for $40.

Use code F92D1AB60FBE for 5% off.

Holy Rusted Metal Batman!

I believe that in the instructions, it says to grease them once a month.

Just a side note, (probably commen sence to everyone else) When you replace them, take them both off at the same time. Its much easier when you do them both together. You dont have to torque the bar to get the other one to slip in.

Yea it seems a bit extreme for a vehicle with 14k miles, but it does sit outside

Lol Rhode Island. I'm a few miles from the Ocean though so I dont think that affects it much. Just a crappy truck to have rusted this much IMO, never been super happy with it. I dont drive a lot though since I work at home, so it hasn't really mattered. Now that things are starting to go wrong with it I think I'm going to have a lot of frustration with it in the future.

Mine isnt even that rusty, Mine has 102k km on it, been outside its entire life. Is around the ocean, almost every day. I live on a Peninsula. Ocean on all 4 sides to boot, lol. I thought my truck was bad.

I was also told, the more they sit, the quicker they rot around the ocean to. Im undercoating mine myself where there is no rust, then getting Krowns Oil-type under coat this winter.
