Default "custom exhaust"

I recently removed my muffler and rear resonator on my 05 3.7..I had to do some "custom" work to make the pipes fit back together. I dumped it before the rear tire but couldn't make it a side exhaust. My question is that with the "custom" work I think I have a few leaks near the connections..what is the best way to solve this with least cost. I have used jb weld on a heat shield of an old car and it held up fine but I heard it can't stand up to direct exhaust heat..I have heard mixed reviews on other exhaust repair products...I. need a good recomendention so I can ask my finacial advisor.....I mean wife before I pay to get it welded up.. how much would a shop charge for that and is there a diy way.

I would say weld it up .. do it right the first time and it will cost less in the long run..

Don't try and patch anything, just have it welded.

Around here most places charge $25 a weld. It's worth it to me.
