Default Tires... Opinions and Questions.

Ok, the leveling kit install was a sucsess. Now this guy needs new rubbers, and im am pretty much set on MTs of some sort. Below are some of my favorites, any input or experiences that you guys would be able to share would be greatly appreciated.

#1 Interco SS M16
#2 Goodyear Wrangler MTR
#3 Nitto Trail Grappler
#4 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM2
#5 Treadwright Guard Dog MT, which by the way I can find nothing but positive reviews on.
#6 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ
#7 Dick Cepeck Mud Country.

I have your #6, I've loved em. They are pricey and get louder as they wear, but what MT's don't? Really great at catching traction in the mud, pretty good in sand, and flex well on rocks (they are soft and chunk tho). My next set of tires tho I will try out Eldorado MTZ sports. They are cheap as hell, look nice, and from what little I've found on them, alot of Jeepers swear by em.

J/K........but seriously.

I have a tire that I absolutely love that is not on your list: Goodyear Duratrac. This has been the absolute best A/T I have ever had. I've seen guys get over 50K on a set...

OK scratch all above tires lol..... Ive got a chance to get a smoking deal on both the cooper discover stt and hankook dynapro MT... which in your opinion is the better tire they are almost the exact same price.

I might be a bit biased in my comparison between the two. I was looking at both of these tires as well when I bought mine a few years ago. I ended up getting the Hankooks and have had very good things to say about them. Very good in just about all conditions, snow included. Here is a pic.

Thumbs up

i would personally go with #3 the Nitto's.. there great for either 2wd or 4x4, keep you from getting stuck either way. But yet they retain there smooth ride, and look pretty Darn good too if i do say so myself!

Love my Hankook Dynapro's! Keep them rotated though.

Those Hankooks sound pretty nice and i like the sidewall, but the STTs have a more aggresive tread. Does anyone have experience with them?
