That's what Im getting with my truck with bigger injectors and untunned. This is not the MPG you should be seeing with a stock truck

Sounds like you need a tune up. My milage was about the same as yours when I purchased my truck. After some new NGK plugs, air filter, and a fuel injection service I niw get 20 hwy, 16-17 mixed and 14-15 all city.

I'll look into it when I get my oil change at 9,500 miles (I'm at 9,200 now). I know the air filter is clean, I bought an aftermarket drop-in. Not sure about the rest.

What brand is it? It could be something that is poorly made/fitted and restrictive. If it is K&N, Airaid, AEM or even Spectre then I wouldn't worry about it. Just wondering!

Did a 400 k (250mile) trip from Ottawa to our super-secret Nuclear facility this week and averaged 11.7 l/100k (20.1 MPG), driving at 95-110 kph (60-70 mph). A/C running most of the way back, but not on the way up. Truck lightly loaded with just my inspection tool and riding gear in the bed.

It's an AMSOIL nanofiber filter. I did some research and only heard good things. It flows a lot better than the stock drop-in.
