Finally got rid of that aweful flowmaster system, what a piece of crap, Now onto a better note, went with a quietter magnaflow single 3inch catback, the sound is alittle more melow but alot less noise in the cab. This is the 3rd exhaust I have put on truck since new in 2005, the sand a salt in CT winters, just eats away at everything

Wow, 3rd exhaust already, that's incredible. We use tons of salt here too, so I know the deal. I love my Magnaflow sound, and would never let a Flowmaster touch my truck.

Enjoy your new tone.

First mod I did to my truck was install a flowcrapper single in dual out system I got off ebay for like $180. Thought to myself, finally I got a V8 truck! Got to put a Flowmaster on it!! The next mod was to rip that pos off of there and install a magnaflow. Maybe I'm getting old or something, but the FM had THE WORST sound. Raspy, obnoxious, it was loud, yes, but not a nice loud and so much drone in the cab I could not even talk to the person sitting beside me without yelling. I have a FM on my Z (came with it) and I'm replacing that soon with a magnaflow. Cracks me up, the people around here trying to sell their cars/trucks on craigslist and it's always "has a flowmaster exhaust system"....I just laugh...like thats supposed to be some big deal...lol

Agreed on the drone from flowmaster, even with the supposedly quieter one I bought.
mine was so bad at certain rpms towing that I put the front resonator back on, but it actually sounds good now,low & rumbly.
I couldn't bring myself to trash can a new exhaust so ill stick with it for now.
Since the resonators have a straight thru hole in/out so back pressure shouldn't be much of an issue.
if I keep the truck I may go magnaflow later.

Funny, my 40-series Flowmaster doesn't drone inside at all. And I get a TON of compliments on the way it sounds. To each his own, I guess.

same here i got the flowmaster delta 40(though i do get a little drone)...i think the 40-series is their best. all i wanted was less restriction and more noise so i don't mind

It's all about that cherry bomb extreme. Or just straight pipes for that matter.
