Default Headlight Lens 09 Dakota

Hey guys, new to the forum here

Anyways was wondering if anyone has any idea how the heck you put the headlight lense back on.

I recently hit a yellow pole in a parking lot, and damaged the light beyond fixing so I need to replace the lens. The light comes out easy because its held on only by one of the three bolts.

Now I try to put the lens back in and the lens covers the two bottom bolts, it almost looks like I need to take off the bumper or something to get it? surely there is an easier way!

Any input would be appreciated, thank you!

I can usually squeeze a socket wrench between the bumper and remove/install the headlamps. If you can't get it in there, then the only other way I know of is to loosen the bumper or remove it, so that it can drop down out of the way.

I used a 1/4 socket in between like jason said.

Like jasonw said, on my 05 (different headlights tho) I can get a screw driver in there, with 2 Extensions (like 5" ones) Ive seen the 08+ and it looks the same way
