3.21 gears??? wtf?
To get a feel for how your truck will cruise with 4.10's, just don't use 6th!
4.10's in overdrive (0.79:1) = 3.24:1
3.21's in 5th = 3.21:1
So, as near as makes no difference, your RPM, noise level and MPG will be equivalent on the highway. If you find high speed driving in 5th acceptable, then you won't be disappointed with 4.10's in 6th.
Make sure you run up to 70-75 miles an hour...spinning over 2500 RPM on the highway (2,583 RPM @ 70 with stock tires, to be exact), with no more gears to reach for!
Of course, the 4.10's will give much snappier acceleration with any load.
I've thought about 4.10's, but my truck is a V6. Forever slow, no matter what. At least I can get 22MPG on a highway cruise, ticking over under 2000 RPM in 6th.
