Question 3.21 gears??? wtf?

I've been reading threads about gearing and LSD's and I was cusious as to what my truck has. I looked at my build sheet and I found this

CKES Front Seat Area Carpet
CSRS Passenger Assist Handles
CSWS Driver Assist Handle
CTWS Vinyl Door Trim Panel w/Map Pocket
DBBC All Manual Transmissions
DEJ 6-Speed Manual Getrag 238 Trans
DMCS 3.21 Rear Axle Ratio
DRBP Corporate 9.25 LD Rear Axle
EVA 4.7L V8 MPI Engine
GACS Tinted Glass Windows
GBBS Tinted Windshield Glass
GCBS Front Door Tinted Glass
GEGS Deep Tint Sunscreen Glass
GJDS Rear Fixed Window

does anyone else have these? or is it just the manual's? Kinda makes me want to go to a 3.55 or a 3.92 (sooo much more torque)...

Discuss..

Yeah, if you have a two wheel drive (not 4x4), and a manual transmission, then the truck came with 3.21 gears.
Any 4x4 models, or auto trans, came with 3.55 or the optional 3.92 gears.

3.92 or 4.10 would be nice. Cheaper too since you only have a 4x2.

idk if I would go 3.55 or 3.92.. i do alot of highway and I'm going to go back to the stock tire size eventually, so i fear 3.92 may suck on long highway cruises.

i just want a better launch..

not expensive for you so I wouldn't recommend against 3.55's..I mean my truck is quick, I just wish she was a little quicker

I am running the 3.55 gears with the 6-speed and if you do a lot of highway driving I would not recommend it. At 75 in 6th I am turning about 2600 RPMS at 15MPG but at 65 i am getting round 17 at about 2300.

Hell, if you were closer I would swap you rear ends. I do plenty of hwy miles and could use as much mpg as possible.
