Default Moog problem solver ball joint possible issue?

I took my truck mudding the other night and it got really rough on the suspension. I then spent a day power washing heavily to get the mud off. I then devolved a noise in the front upper ball joint. I don't have the noise over bumps or anything. I noticed it when I was stopping. I got home and checked everything and added more grease to it. It does like to work it's way out some how. When I started adding grease a bit of water came out then grease. I don't seem to have the noise any more. But why am I getting water in them? They are not cut or broken open. The grease came out the little "vent" I seen it called on the boot to allow old grease to come out when new is added.

I would imagine that when you power washed it, some of the water replaced the grease inside the boot. I noticed that when I replaced both upper control arms and tie rod ends with Moog components, I have that greasey, dirt covered look now. But to be honest, I don't mind it at all....because I know the Moog units are night and day better than the factory TRW **** that dodge gave us.
