Default Side Window Stopped

So remember my slow window... it QUIT today! or should I say it's stuck closed. I know its horrible! So I am off to buy a regulator from the dealer. They aren't badly priced for a dealership part, $48.

After posting this and putting the part on hol dI tore into this thing to absolutely diagnose it. Its greased for sure. I can't hear it engage which makes me wonder if its not the motor.

So I am gathering its the motor for sure, I have tried straight 12V power both sides the manual says and nothing. Put it all together beings I cant get the whole regulator and motor part till the morning, and BAM its working... played with it a bit and it quit back in the up position again... During the few times it was working it didnt act like it was binding however it was sloooooow. I am done messing with it for the evening, I don't need it stuck down with all this rain coming. So tomorrow morning I'll run to the dealer and buy the part and hopefully hav eit out and in in no time. Btw the part number is 55359566AB for anyone else looking for the passenger side regulator/motor.

Default They really need to fix these for free

I have had mine fixed several times. They are still not right, but at least they function now, if poorly. A design that fails this often for something that car companies build the world over for decades leaves no excuse!

Well, I should update this. I did not replace anything as it began working again after I last posted. I greased the rail pretty good on Saturday and it seemed to maake things go smoother and faster. Now every so often it quits working like its hot or something has tripped, wait 15 or so minutes and its back to working. Its only stops working in the up position. Odd I know
