Default Pics and attempt at fix of rear wheel rust.

I have to many pics to put up here so Im using a link to a photobucket album. I have 63 pics. Edit to add. the pics are chronological from #63 down to #1 and seem that a few of them are jumped around even more but you get the idea.

I dont have pics of the original exterior rust but its about the same as another silver Dak on here somewhere. Light bubbling and not really noticable untill you look close.
I had a body shop sand it down, fix about a 3-4" area and they put some brand of blue sealer in it. Painted it and it looks OK. Im not worried aobut perfection on the 05, I just want to slow it down and get a few more years without it looking bad.
I used the Eastwood Rust Inhibitor with the extended spray tube. I used pretty much one whole can. It did dribble out the front and rear lower edges. I did it in two coats pretty much about 15 minutes apart.
I took the pics using a Milwaukee hand held inspection camera. One thing to note the pics loaded from new to old so the #63 pic is the first one and count down. Initall pics are from the tail light going in and then I drilled 1/2" holes shown in pics and the rest of the pics are from those holes. I added comments to some of them.
My RH side is new due to a wreck and has no foam and looks pretty good so I didnt treat it today but I will in the next couple weeks. I have to go back to the body shop and get the 4X4 sticker put back on the left side seen in the pic cause I wanted to get the truck home and do this.
Thats about all I can think to add at the moment. Hope this helps my issue and hope it provided info for anyone else in this boat. BTW I have no connection to the Eastwood folks. I just read about it a few places. I also have some Silver Bullet on the way because I have some additional rust starting on the inside ot the bed where the wheel well mates to the inner in that joint. Going to wire brush that and brush on the Rust Bullet this weekend when it shows up.

ONE MORE EDIT TO NOTE: I did add some comments to some of them but did so from the end to the start which is pic #63. Sorry for any confusion but half way thru I realized reading the comments out of order may not make sense but by then I was not going back to change them all.
Hope the link works.

A couple of questions:

What year truck do you have and where do you live? Just trying to gauge the rust factor and where my truck could be in regards to rust.

How did you get access to inbetween the panels?

I do have a quart of Chassis saver from magnet paints, I was thinking that I could use that on the inside as well. Pretty much the same stuff if I recall correctly.

Nice work, looks like it took some time though. Hopefully you will never see rust on your fenders.

I'm in Indiana and its an 05 I bought new. I did ziebart about a year after I bought it and did one follow up. No rust on doors or bumper. Front radiator support has some minor on the bottom and I will address that when I use the Rust Bullet on the left inner. I didn't really take that long. Couple hours max.
I just got email from body shop showing the repair after it was sanded and ready for the product they used. I will add it when I get home from work.

More under the paint than I could see on the outside. Just a few minor bubbles but that pic shows it was spread and then the pics from inside show much more.

Were you able to see all of the pics?
Initally I pulled the tail lights to see. The pics didn't show as much as I could see and I had already decided to drill the holes shown. Probably could have just use two of them but like I mentioned the truck has a cover and I put plugs in the holes when done so it's not a cosmetic or water issue. I could have drilled 3/8 holes but the camera head required a 1/2" hole. I did not see any of the Eastwood spray drip or seep between the panels on the top so Im not sure if that's bad or good. Time will tell. I hope to pull the plugs and check it in a few months.
Sorry bout all my typos in the first post.
This is what I used to take the pictures. Borrowed it from work for a few days.

I'm in Indiana down south and my dakota has very minimal rust for being a 06. It's been outside since it was new. Just have your typical bolts and surface rust. Other than that it's nice. Where abouts in Indiana are you?
