Ok looking down there now that im off a work and have time....

Well basically saturday i did my oil change and changed out front brakes and rear wheel cylinder... after oil change and all truck ran perfectly fine and normal, no issues. I didnt go anywhere sunday, so this morning i put my kid in the car, go to start it and it clicks over, but doesnt start.

Putting my foot on the gas peddle slightly it starts, maintains the RPM as long as my foots on the peddle and doesnt hesitate, but when i let my foot off the gas the RPM shoots straight down and it dies again. What a great way to start the week.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be? Also there is a CEL on, so going to try to find a way to get it checked (cant exactly take any somewhere to check the error)

Thanks for any help.

It sounds like the Idle Air Circuit is clogged. Have you ever cleaned your throttle body?

If you havent already, download the service manual for your truck off the main page and find the throttle body section it has a pretty good diagram of how to take the throttle body off. just get yourself a can of throttlebody/carb cleaner and go nuts.

I suggest B-12 Chemtool but its your choice.

just went through this, my truck is actually still at the mechanic for it right now as we speak. so far 1 dealer replaced my iac motor, cleaned throttle body, reflashed the pcm with with the newest version of firmware/updates. after they kept pointing fingers at me cause they couldnt find their own d*cks. i took it to another dealer and explained the same problems, after having a master chrysler tech look at the issue he ended up finding shorts in the wiring that damaged the pcm, they replaced the entire engine wiring harness and pcm, cost my warranty over $3000 for the repairs. hopefully yours is much cheaper like just the iac motor or something

i re-hooked the wires back up and it fired right up.... this is to weird, it looks like the wire was cut! i leave my truck unlocked, but why would someone just cut those wires, the cut seems to clean to just have worn out and break off.

That's your IAC, bro! With that cut, you have no idle control!

doesn't that look like it was cut? I did not do this, i just went to my truck this morning and it worked fine Saturday. i just find it odd that it has such a clean cut.

Sounded like a potential crankshaft position sensor problem too but I didn't look at any of your pics. Extended crank and stalling would have been a culprit though. Glad you figured it out!
