Default Power Steering

Every morning when I go out and start my truck the power steering is very stiff. After I go about 10 feet it's back to normal and off I go. 2 wheel drive, I know it's either the pump or the rack. Slight leak on the passenger side but not enough to effect fluid levels in the res for the pump. Any ideas?

New tie rod ends (Outter), new upper and lower ball joints, no intermediate shafts (2wd). And it's only when the weather is getting colder outside.

Ball joints could just need repacking... it happens.

Happened before and again after the ball joints, I didn't know if it's a sign of pump failing or rack failing.

I think he means the Intermediate Steering Shaft, Its know to seize up, Mine did, greased it, it now has 1" play, but doesnt bind. But it was also stiff all the time.

I'm gonna grease the crap out of it today. Sooo annoying at 4am leaving for work and I can't get my truck out of my parallel parking spot because the damn steering wheel won't move.
