Good thing he didn't get arrested for driving without a license.
If he could submit a claim, But true the amount of damage could total it.

I am guessing the F350's owner's insurance.

Not sure how it works in Canada, but if you were here in the states, you'd be getting sued by their insurance in pretty fast order.

Im still not sure how it would go either, (I live in Canada haha) Im thinking it would be the same way. There insurance would cover it, then they would go after the person who caused it.

in canada (ontario) your own insurance pays for your vehicle damage no matter what and they deem it at fault or not. Im just hoping the original poster stuck around the accident til the owner of the f350 got there. but since he was not charged im guessing he just bolted so he wouldnt get caught.

I don't think the truck was in any condition to "bolt" with - he mentioned in the first post that he couldn't move it after the accident & he didn't mention if there were any charges pending. Regardless of the type of insurance available in BC, the Ford driver would have his truck fixed by his insurance if the accident was reported and then that company would go after the Dakota driver for whatever they could get. If the accident wasn't reported (not really legal with that amount of damage), the Dakota driver may have agreed to pay for whatever damage was caused to the Ford & to look after his own - this way, no charges & no insurance cost increase. If I was in this situation, I don't think I'd want to advertise the situation on a public forum.
