-New 77 Series K&N Intake Kit For '05 Dak: Worth It?-
K&N just released their new 77 Series intake kit for the 2005 Dodge Dakota 4.7L and boy does it look nice. It's a well made highly polished piece of beauty that was dynoed at generating 7.3hp on an otherwise stock vehicle. I like it so much I was even considering replaceing my True-Flow intake kit with their setup, until I saw the price: $450.00!!!! Now that's factory direct since nobody stocks it yet. Will other people's prices be less?? Is it worth the expense? I remember the True-Flow numbers being higher than 7.3hp, like 11hp or something like that. I also removed that tube that connects the airbox to the fender since it was a bit restrictive, will the K&N really improve my performance over my current system? I'm really torn, if it was less I would seriously consider it, but $450 is pretty steep! What do you guys think??
4 filters.com has it...$321 and change with free shipping. Let me know heo it works out. Not worth it for me solely for performance, but if I can sneak out a few MPG's I'll be stoked.
Contact Leo @ www.weapon-r.com and they can take care of you. They made one for my truck and it works GREAT! I think he is charging about $250.00 and the HP gain on it was about 9.2 not to mention I am pulling about 2 or 3 extra MPG.

I looked into Air Aid and I was able to get mine for $210 because of my DodgeForum subscription. Click on this link: http://www.premiertruckaccessories.com/. This price also includes the S&H. Adds 9 to the wheels and 10#s of torque. Best deal I've found so far.
