Default Hit a deer

I had a deer run out on me the other night and it ran into my bed just behind the rear tire and put a pretty good dent in it. Im not too worried about the dent, but I noticed the bed is not lined up with the cab where they meet. The passenger side is just barley off towards the inside, but the driver side of the bed is about a 1/4 inch out. I dont think the deer did this, but could this just be chitty qc?
Thanks, Byron

Well, if you don't know if it was like that before the deer hit it then you really dont know. Get up under it and se if the bolts that hold it to the frame are bent or loose or anything. I bought a brand new Nissan Frontier in 2004 and every time I drove it I could swear I could see the bed moving when I would look out of the side rear view mirror. Turns out they didn't tighten the bolts good enough, allowing it to move ever so slightly from side to side.

The whole bed is adjustable and if it's not twisted slightly out of shape from the impact, it's not hard to align the bed to the cab. When you get the bump fixed, it would be a good time to loosen the hold-down bolts and realign it to suit.

That's the answer I was hoping for. I don't think I'm going to get the dent fixed for insurance purposes. But wanted to make sure that there was not a major issue.

Here's some pix of a Kota that a deer ran into the side of that I fixed a few years ago. I hope this isn't considered advertising. I don't look for retail work any more, I just do hail, and that's all pre arranged. But this guy got clobbered!
