Default Lower Control Arm Install Question?

Hello, I am about to replace my passenger side lower control arm. I ordered the part via internet and was just wondering if I had to grease, and if so, how much or what kind? Plus, any other type of prep work before I replace? Thanks

There are quite a few threads on this forum that talk about lower control arm replacement, including one from me - I would suggest that you read them all. Here are a couple of the main points:
  1. The lower control arm has 3 bushings, 2 are the same type. These bushings are not greasable, they are rubber with a steel insert. Two of these bushings have special bolts (cam bolts) that are used for front end alignment - these also have special nuts with a stand-off cap end (see my thread for pictures and description). I used a bunch of anti-seize compound on the bolts when I assembled mine since they have a tendency to rust-weld themselves together with the steel inserts.
  2. You didn't say why you're replacing the control arm. If it's seized, my thread explains how I removed mine - keep the special nuts, the nuts & bolts aren't easy to find.
