Default 2005 Dak 4.7 lliter Misfire Cylinder 3

My water pump let loose on Highway. Pulled over right away but temp did jump high. Pump blew at the pulley shaft and everything I mean everything got wet.

I replaced the pump flushed the system and added new antifreeze - oil change due the the temp. Ran truck to flush/ check new and oil change for leaks and what not. No engine light while at idle must have run at least 30 - 40 minutes for flush and fillup of Antifreeze.

Went for test drive and on drive got the Check Engine light, code read Misfire Cylinder 3 - Coil was wet on outside as could be expected pulled coil and dry inside, pulled plug and it looked ok but worn as I expected. Changed the plug and still getting random misfires during acceleration.

Any Ideas?

I'd wait for everything to dry. Try it again.

Did you pull all coils and boots, apply dielectric grease? Driving with misfires will melt your cat(s).
