Is it possible to buy a solid bench in the rear cab and remove the 2 fold downs??

 

You'd have find one that isn't wider than the fold down seats.

 

I know the rear seats are super easy to remove... and after looking at pictures of an 04 club cab i wonder if they would fit?

yeah, why the went away from the full length bench seat is beyond me.

 

It looks like it would fit but the only issue is there's no elbow half way for the end of the far bench to bend up and equal the weight folded up

 

Anyone know where I could find a bench seat for the front?

 

Bench seats for the front are only the 40/20/40 Split I think, the Middle is supported off both the Drivers side and Passenger Side seats with brackets riveted to the seats brackets.

The rear bench is alot better (pre 05) the nthe jump seats, If I changed it, I wouldnt worry about folding up, or make a plate the both parts bolt to, and the plate bolts to the oem brackets as to make it 1 piece

 

The easiest way for you to add a middle seat is to swap out your seats for another set with the middle seat attached. That can be done in two ways:

1. Find a set of front seats from another 05-07 Dakota, which could possibly be found in a junkyard or the classifieds, craigslist, or Ebay.
2. An easier solution would be to find someone near you who would swap out your seat for theirs (possibly someone right here on Dodge Forum). And it would not be too difficult, because a lot of us prefer the full floor console over the middle seat.

Even if you found just the middle seat, there's no real easy way to reattach it.
