Default Transmission Issue

mine started lipping TODAY... just driving 50ish on a country road to pick a boy up with his buck... as I slowed _ something clunked.... my truck is a 2007 V-8 Magnum 4wd... 110,xxx miles .... never abused ... it will always smoke tires on pavement... now this evening 1st is fine 2nd spins truck side ways like nothing .... D it just eases forward .... fro 400 to 2000 rpm and then "seems Normal" fluid is where it shold be ...ANY IDEAS ?

Moved this to its own thread, since the other was very old and not exactly the same issue you have here.

Get it checked out by a pro-mechanic that you trust. Could be something simple, you never know. These transmissions aren't the same as the old 42RH/RE and 46RH/RE used in the older Dakotas and Rams, they aren't nearly as temperamental or unpredictable, and are generally more reliable.

thanx ...

I did NOT say I went around smoken tires all the time .... I said it WOULD .... now it wont even spin tires on the GRAVEL road I live on...

I'm a firm believer in keeping fluids changed in Chrysler vehicles, abused or not. If you're at 110k miles and it's never had a fluid/filter change, you're long overdue. I did my first one in my truck at 60k.
