Hello everyone. I am new to the dodge world. Got my first truck a few weeks ago, a 2010 dakota and I love it. I am wanting to do some things to it such as new headlight housing with projectors. But my question is, are the 2007 housings different from the 2010? Any info will help thank you.

 

Yeah, the 2005-2007 Dakota headlights will not fit your 2010. One of the members with headlights similar to yours, baked open his headlights and installed projectors.

thank you for that bit of info.
But to introduce myself since i am new I have a 2010 big horn dakota quad cab, got it a few weeks ago. I am looking to do some modding to it such as lighting, bull bar, rims basic more simple stuff to make it unique and mine.
Im still learning my way around the site so il have pictures up ASAP

Looks good, we need more red trucks around here. Look around at some threads, especially some older threads, and you'll get some good ideas for your Dak.

 

i have been searching but i cannot find any aftermarket projector headlights for the 2010 model. i want a simple buy and install without modifying the part. has anyone come across such a find?

 

I've never seen any. Try checking ebay. That's where I got mine. The Dakotas after 2004 did not get much aftermarket love so just keep looking.

 

As stated in the other thread for 2009s, 2008 (when they changed the front end) until they stopped building them in 2011 don't get any front end love at all because of the very low sales figures.

 

The 2005-2007 got a few mods for the headlights. Not a lot but some good ones. 08-11 there are none at all. I even called spec-D and they had none nor knew of any.

 

i have a 2009 dakota and i have had it for a few months i have fingured out a way to get a 2 inch lift out of it and nerf bars but thats about all you going to get and the 2 inch lift isn't with a kit there is no place to get projectors for our body style bout the best we can do is hid bulbs.
