Fuel Pump questions for yalls
So I got very unlucky this winter, my fuel level sensor went bad about 2 weeks before my registration was up. According to the tech manual, I have to replace the whole fuel pump to solve this. It sucks because the pump works just fine, but the sensor doesn't work and the check engine light comes on, which is why I failed inspection today.
So, has anybody had to do this yet that could throw me some tips?
Also, are there any upgraded pumps that I could throw in there (to feed my hemi, if I ever get it in there)
If I remember right, Billy, and Richie both replaced their fuel pumps, but I don't know if they got them fitted in the stock module or not.
Thanks as always

ahhh the sending unit is all one piece..it sucks how with every issue fuel related today you just end up replacing the fuel pump. I haven't done it on this thing but I'm assuming the easiest way is to take the bed off so you have access to the top of the tank without actually having to drop it/drain it/etc. An upgraded one would be a good idea if you are going to be putting that thirsty motor in there but I bet the part number is the same for a Ram with a Hemi and a 4.7 Dakota. As long as you plan on keeping the Hemi N/A you should be safe with a direct OEM replacement
