Default pothole trouble f****

Driving to work this morning with about 2inches of snow..... i guess i hit a patch in the road where the city was digging but didnt happen to finish the job properly.... so not i need an alignment but what really bothers me is that now my truck rattles/clunks from the front end when i accelerate in 4x4. anyone have this issue? I plan to take it too the city and complain for my repair costs...

Most cities will reimburse for some of the cost. Make sure to take pictures of the hole. and its location. I would be worried that you broke tyhe front axle housing, front cv, or wheel bearings. Could have also bent a rim.

You might have broke a sway bar end link, easy to do. Need to get up under there and have a look.

Could a stripped ring and pinion up front be possible? I was in 4x4 at the time because of ice. Good idea about the pics. Ill take some on my way home!

well I tried to wiggle the CV shafts and their tight.. tie rods look straight.. I tried to use 4x4 on my slippery driveway when i got home.. It seems to work but when I hit the gas you can hear something slipping upfront and sort of a grinding/clunking sound. It did not climb up the driveway like it should in 4x4.. But I'm booked tomorrow morning for an alignment, front end inspection, and drive train inspection with concentration on the front end.

Went to visit the shop today... wheel alignment is good now.. front prop shaft is shot. Dealer wants $710.00. I found them on ebay for $225.00, I'm good to drive it in 2wd but no 4wd...
