The Trailmaster 1.5" kit should be steel or aluminum, sometimes the pictures on certain websites show a black puck though.

I went with 2in on my 4x4. Got my ranchos and slotted rotors with speed holes put in this weekend as well while it was apart.

Meaning cross drilled and slotted? You will regret that when one of them cracks. Our trucks are heavy sumbiches....unless your road rallying, which I hope you would pick a more worthy vehicle than the humble Dakota, cross drilled and slotted rotors are a waste of money. Yes, you will notice a difference over stock at first....but you will eat pads at an alarming rate....imo

I read that a few places. But there where quite a few posts with people saying they never had that issue. I also heard that it could extend the life of pads or decrease them depending on someones theory. I'm not too worried.

As far as a waste of money, I got the pair cheaper online than just one oe replacement from local auto parts stores.

I guess you could considering my darting and dodging in traffic road rallying lol.

I got them mostly since my new wheels show way more brakes than the old steelies. Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but its much more sinceable than a wing on a FWD ricer imo. My next mod is to change my headlight fluid and muffler bearings
