Default 2005 Dakota 3.7 hard start issue

Hey guys.New to the forum and recently purchased an 05 Dakota 3.7.
Having an issue on start up after truck sets for an hour or so.It turns over but the starter has to spin for about 4 seconds before it starts. After it sets all night, it usually starts up ok or easier i should say. It idles and runs great besides that. Any ideas what to look for??

I would suggest checking the Battery and Battery Connections. They can cause issue with these trucks.

Battery and connections are good. It's not an issue with the starter spinning over. It's just hard to start as in some sort of fuel issue.Seems to have plenty of pressure at fuel rail.

My initial thought is that the regulator is failing. Are you experiencing any over heating issues? I ask in case the coolant temp sensor is part of the problem.

Seems to start up pretty well in the mornings after it sets all night. Starts right up if it only sets for a few minutes. After an hour or so it becomes hard to start. I'm thinking maybe temp sensor or cam sensor? Any ideas would be helpfull.
