Before I put in my Ramcharger springs (which are the same as 1500 pickup springs, AFAIK), I had the stock Dakota springs with add-a-leafs. They rode like crap. And I know it was the add-a-leafs because I'm the one who added them, and it rode fine before I did. The "new" springs are much, much nicer.

If I recall right, We pretty much have the same spring weight capacity as the 1500's, dont we.

I also did some other research a while back, and I thought that our springs were only 7/8" shorter than the 2500 springs. the links below show different.

I tossed in SuperSprings(2,000lb) last year to help with leveling when I tow my Zeroturn mower and 10ft open trailer. I now have with that, the monroe rear shocks from ebay. Def helped even more.
