Hello. I'm new to here. SO if this has benn posted for Gen 3 Dak'd I missed on my search. I found fix's for a Gen 2 but not for Gen 3.
I have 3 codes one is P0457: Evap leak monitor, Small Leak Detected, EMS , Gas cap leak. I dont remember the code #'s
But it looks like the problem "I think" its pointing to charcoal canister and or Hoese. I'm not sure what else is the problem.
But is there a write up on how to fix/replace A Gen 3 Charocal cansiter and / hoses?
I've already changed out the gas cap and nothing changed. Has anyone else had this happen?
MY rig is 08 Dak, 4x4, SLT, Quad cab, 70k, 4.7 V8 in WA, Thank

 

Here are the thre codes
P0457 fule cap loose or off) This has been replaced
P0456 (Very small leak)
P0440 Evaporative Emission Control System

 

Those are so hard to track down. I would start with all the vacuum hoses associated with the evap system. I highly doubt it is the canister itself. Not much to go wrong there.

Do you know if the Eavp System is the same on Gen 3 Dak as it is on Gen 2?
