Default IAT sensor

My truck threw a code last night and u went to Advance to get it read and they said it was my IAT sensor. Where on a 2005 Dak with a 4.7 is that?

It's the Intake Air Temperature sensor. Look at pic 4 on this link.
You just twist and pull it out, but don't touch the new sensor when installing it.

intake tube. drivers side. Plugs into the box connected to the throttle body. its rare for the sensor to go bad I would check the wiring for frays/chew marks.

I thought that was the MAF sensor.

There is no MAF sensor. its a MAP sensor.

oh, ok. Thanks guys. One more question, what's the little hose on the back of the airbox? It's behind the hose that goes from the airbox to the airhat.

Breather hose. If your talking about the little hose in the picture Dakotaff linked to.

I didn't think to look back at those pictures. Yeah, it's the breather hose. What exactly does that do?

if You've ever seen a breather on an old Chevy valve cover that's basically the same thing except it vents to the Intake instead of the atmosphere.

You could vent it to the atmosphere if you want... there is no gains to it though, other than maybe a cleaner TB, but if it has that much oil blowing through the vent you have bigger issues
