Default new radiator + switched to synthetic HM oil

so finally replaced my radiator
and switched to QUAKER synthetic oil 5w20 high mileage
now getting 17 MPG in the city
up from 11.2-13
is that not incredible??
wont be long paying off the new rad now with the savings on gas! LOL

***and

i began installing it myself
but couldn't figure out how to disconnect the two transmission lines going in and out at the bottom?? i would have been able to do it if it wasn't for that
anyone feel like enlightening me on how that's done??
every thing else was basic..
thanks!

got another issue im going to keep in this same thread
been noticing - for a while actually,
if im ever rolling off a curb in my truck, and when the back end drop, its making a snapping noise , a loud one..not sure if the leaf springs are flattened out? what what it might be.
something loose?
suspension shot? shocks?

one more issue
having problems with shifting/ transmission
slipping when changing geears around 40-60km/ph it slips before it catches the next gear, as well at about 70-90km/ph
+ when i originally start truck and engage into drive there is a moderate delay - 1-2seconds.
I have been reading on line, found out possibilitys such as the TSS, or maybe shift valves? solonoid?
any insight anyone?
i can provide more info!
thanks

transmisssionfluid pump?
any suggestions that i can attempt to repair/replace/test without having to overhaul the transmission? I know alot of these parts are deep within the tranny and other components so it becomes difficult trying to go at any of these things, im considering trying to replace a few items that could be the culprit before replacing the whole tranny- WHHERE i am considering not even doing anything because i am able to drive regularly and long distances without any malfunction - just slipping of gears. so youknow what they say if its not broke dont fix it lol
any how
any input or some ones sense that i could value would be appreciated
thanks
