Default replacing my transmission tomorrow at shop few questions

hey all- been talking on and off here for a while
I just bought a used automatic transmission for my 4x4 07 Dakota 4.7v8
35,000km on the used tranny im buying, for 890\$ plus tax so roughly 1000.

got a shop that's installing it tomorrow, between 6-750 it should be..
they suggested that they could run into problems such as having to replace transmission mount..and something about exhaust lugs? not sure..anyone feel like elaborating?
it should be a fairly simple job for a transmission specialty shop right?
they said 8 hours labour.
I am replacing it because I have been having troubles with my current tranny.. like gears slipping aand delays going into drive.
is there any way that those issues wont be fixed by replacing my transmission?? or is it possible that my truck will just be ****ed after they do this? I have come to be very nervous about having shops do work as ive been very unsatisfied in the past...is this a simply job for experienced mechanics at a transmission specialty shop?
I will be very upset if my issues aren't resolved after spending nearly 2000 dollars..
any how.

should everything be back to normal after this replacement??

first off, how many miles/km on the truck now, I have 140000 miles on mine and never had an issue, could very well just need a fluid and filter change, some of these tranny's will pop a filter or dislodge one and screw up with the flow of fluid, also with the warrenty you have, wont dodge look at it?

I found if its slipping, or taking abit to get into gear its been low fluid. From my experience. (Put a hole in my Transmission Pan) when it started to lose fluid it took long to get into gear, even 2 seconds after it started leaking. (Only drove it 10 ft, 5ft off the bank and 5 into a driveway.

I replaced mine myself in the garage. You shouldn't need a new mount. I replaced the bolts on my exhaust seeing as I had to cut them off. It should be a pretty straight forward job for a specialty shop. I did my whole job in roughly 12 hours, with no prior experience, and without a lift.

pretty sure its definitely the transmission that needs to be replaced.
i have checked the fluid..and had filters replaced.
the funny thing is,when i hadthe filters replaced. thats when the slipping startted and the delay..
****ing shady mechanics

Sounds like they put the filters in wrong.

you need OEM filters and gaskets and even fluid..probably not a whole transmission
