for the abs question you'll see a wire goin too the front hub assembly.. this indicates 4wheel abs. I got a chrip in my front suspension, narrowed it down too either lower control arm bushings, or strut mounts..

ABS will have a toothed ring and a sensor at the wheel. I'm not entierly sure you can replace just the bearing or if the entire hub needs to be replaced. You 2 or 4wd?

You can replace the bearing, but the whole thing is easier apparently by alot.

I replaced my Passenger side wheel hub not to long ago, Only problem I had was getting the Hub out/off the Knuckle. I had to removed the knuckle off the truck (which i was trying to avoid) then lay it on the ground and pound it with a 20lb hammer. (I had the HUB on the ground, so It would break/bend the knuckle since it is $600+ to replace (from the dealer) After only a few hits I could see the Hub moving, I also snapped all 3 of the bolts heads off.

Are those bolts dealer only? Or can you get grade 8 (or metric euivalent) to fit from your local friendly bolt supply house?
Anyone have the dimensions of these bolts?

From what I have read, all of the 4WD Dakotas come with 2 wheel ABS (rear) standard. If you wanted 4 wheel ABS, it was a $495 option in 2005 to add the front wheels, according to the factory invoice for my truck. From that, it looks like if you have sensor wires to the front two wheels, then you have 4 wheel ABS. FYI, the bearing hub assembly runs approximately $70+per each online. My friendly NAPA store quoted me $134.95 each to order them! Found a set on warehouse closeout for $70 total. Still waiting on them to arrive.

Rockauto.com list them online at 33.79 each. (Quality = ?.)
