Default throttle cable tension

how do you adjust the tension/play on the throttle cable? I have a little more slack than necessary that I would like too get rid of.

The transmission throttle valve is operated by the valve body throttle lever. The throttle lever is actuated by a cable connected to the engine throttle body lever

That's not true? I have a very intimate relationship with my throttle cable. Straight from my pedals swing arm, through the firewall, to my throttle body. And a matching cable from the cruise control servo. I had the fab a bracket for it myself, cruise control is still dangling though.

I'll have to have a looksee if there was a way to tighten it up on my old throttlebody and intake manifold, but I don't think there was a factory way, might have to jimmy rig it...

or use the trick we all used on our rangers on the ranger forums. Stack zip ties around the cable as spacers, in the cab at the pedal.

Also, if you look at the pedal assembly, there's part of it that contacts the firewall liner, rubber layer. I trimmed that a bit so the pedal would land on the bumpstop like it's supposed to.

Yeah, mine is really loose. I bet it'll consist of mini washers or a rubber spacer
