Default E-brake

Hey guys my brother and I just replaced my rear brakes shoes on my 06 4.6 dakota. Now it feels like I don't have much of a ebrake. How do I adjust these to make my ebrake rigid again?

Did you adjust the brakes properly to begin with after replacing the shoes?

I don't have a lot of experience with shoes. I'm more of a disk brake guy. If I get it back up in the air, what should I look for?

I would google replacing drum brake shoes or a video on you tube. You need to adjust the star wheel for the self adjuster when doing this job to get the shoes adjusted properly when reassembling.

If the brakes are adjusted properly and the E-brake isn't tight, the cable has probably stretched. Look along the cable for a turnbuckle to snug it up.
