First excuse me for my english, we live in the Netherlands and in 2009 we imported a 2005 Dakota Quad Cab short box 2 WD 4.7 V8 from Sugerland Texas, with an LEER top. Recently I damaged the tailgate, insurance covered the damage and we got a new one. The problem is that the box is coated, the tailgate is now coated again but we do not have the same structure and color here as in the usa. So we started looking for caps and found the caps from BAK. Unfortunately no one can give me the width of the tailgate cap, we need this to check if it will cover the coating, if not we can leave it this way. We need to be shure because the shipping-, VAT- and custom costs are higher than the price of the caps. So my question is, is there any one who has these caps on his Dakota (2005-2009)? So yes will he or she messure the width of the tailgate cap (U beginning till end of the u form) for me? Thanks in advance!
