Thanks for the heads up. I want a set with a rear leaf though, I already tried to piecemeal it togeather and ended up with chipped up Poly spacers and rusty leaves, and had to return both.

Pro Tip: don't order Truck suspension parts from Amazon, no matter how good the deal...

THE PEOPLE SELLING THE KIT WITH THE GREEN BACK GROUND ARE LYING BASTARDS DO NOT BUY FROM THEM THEY HAVE NEVER TOUCHED A DAKOTA EVER. Just my two cents.

Also the price reflects the quality of the product and a cheap product will end up costing you more time and money in the end.

Don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel

Seriously though, what did you decide to go with? Let us (me) know how it went, if you don't mind.

Yeah, most all of the ones on Flebay seem kinda shady, but I will take your advice, no green background for me. Honestly though, those pics were just the first ones I found on the google image search that matched the style I was describing.

I honestly haven't done anything yet. I have been recovering from a broken ankle and haven't really done anything to my truck in a couple of months. I think I am leaning more toward the all metal ones now simply because I think I would have an easier time making them work if they were buggered up [I am a fairly decent welder]. With the Poly ones, if one of the bolts is not right, I am not sure how I would fix it...

So why do some people prefer the extra lead spring vs rear blocks? Would the extra spring make it stiffer?

It did not make a significant difference in ride quality for me.

I had the opposite experience. Mine rode like poop with an add-a-leaf. YMMV.

Well, my intention is to stiffen up the rear a bit. I have noticed that this soft, car-like ride has the unwelcome side effect of squatting the rear end when I rock a trailer or even have the bed full. I am prepared for slightly worse ride quality, and if it's too bad, I can always improve it with shocks later on.

It's entirely personal preference whether you like a stiff or a soft ride but if you decide it's too stiff after adding a leaf, shocks will NOT improve it.

FWIW, my truck has stock Ramcharger springs on the back of it, which greatly increased it's load carrying capacity without giving a harsh ride.

Blocks still seem easier. I'D prefer leafs if it made it stiffer tho. How thick is the new leaf? I know its not two inches
